How Leicester City Players Told Thai Owners To Sack Ranieri As Manager | Read Full Details

Claudio Ranieri lost his job as Leicester City manager, after his players told the Thai owners to fire him.
MirrorSport reports that senior members of the squad, recently complained about Ranieri to the club owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
After losing 3-0 to Manchester United at home this month, a senior player reportedly walked into the players’ lounge and declared: “That’s it, we don’t know what we are doing, we are ****ed.”
The Italian delivered the Premier League title last season despite the 5,000-1 odds.
This season, Ranieri failed to recapture those dizzy heights, as Leicester languish in 17th places after five straight defeats in the league.
With the Foxes in danger of getting relegated a year after they were crowned champions, the club’s Thai hierarchy acted on Thursday and are now eyeing Roberto Mancini or Guus Hiddink as their new coach.

Nobody Can Delete The History You Wrote – Mourinho Speaks On Ranieri’s Sack

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has lent his support to Claudio Ranieri, after the Italian was sacked by Leicester City on Thursday night.
Ranieri was fired following a run of poor results, that leaves the Premier League champions hovering over the relegation zone.
Nine months ago however, the former Greece manager and his team defied 5000/1 odds to win the title.
Mourinho, who himself was sacked by Chelsea last season, months after also winning the Premier League title, has sent a message of support to the 65-year-old.
He uploaded a picture of the pair to Instagram, along with the caption: “CHAMPION OF ENGLAND and FIFA MANAGER of THE YEAR️. Sacked.
“That’s the new football, Claudio. Keep smiling AMICO. Nobody can delete the history you wrote.”

WOW! The Nokia 3310 Is Back And Better with 41 Megapixels Camera

At the time when we thought Nokia was losing its stake in the smartphone market, the company indeed has caught many by the wind.
Recall that in recent times, Nokia has been working on getting its brand name and image out there through the Android open market.
The Finnish company had dumped its own OS as well as the Windows OS for Google’s Android which seems to be the most promising of them all at this time. It had incorporated the Android OS in some of its most recent devices.
In a new vein, Nokia has got us spell-bound with a comeback of its classic 3310 GSM phone, which was produced way back in the year 2000. The device was one of Nokia’s most successful phones ever.
Nokia announced the newly refreshed 3310 rocking a massive 41-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenom flash. The camera appears to create a huge bump at the back of the phone, just like the Nokia 808 PureView and Nokia Lumia 1020 devices.
According to the company, the 3310 boasts a modified version of Windows 8 with a new ‘ClearDiamond’ 3-inch WXGA (768×1280) display which of course is touchscreen. It also features three soft-touch physical navigation B.uttons, alongside a Windows Phone HOME B.utton.
Incorporated into the Nokia 3310 is a 1.5GHz dual-core processor; 2GB of RAM; 1430mAh battery; 32GB inbuilt storage; Bluetooth 4.0; Wi-Fi and 3G – a moderate spec for a Windows mobile. Although that battery capacity is a little of a disappointment. And as much as we are surprised by the comeback of the old man, we still wish it ran on Android OS.
Pre-installed apps include MS Office, Xbox Games, Outlook and OneDrive. While Nokia notes that the Nokia 3310 will be rolled out with 3G connectivity, and LTE-enabled devices will follow later this year, we expect to see an upgrade in the specs of the 3G version.
Expected to be launch on April 1st, 2017 (April fool’s day). Thanks to the durable design and iconic look and feel of the 3310, we appreciate its comeback and hope it delivers.

Big Brother Naija: Why The Reality Show Must Stop Airing Immediately – Group

A group, Nigerian Project for Human Development, NPHD, has joined others voices calling for the termination of popular Reality Show, Big Brother Naija.
The group has petitioned the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, the Presidency and the Nigerian public that the airing Big brother Naija be stopped.
Recall that a Lagos lawmaker, Segun Olulade yesterday advised the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on the negative implications of Big Brother Naija on the nation’s culture and youths.
But in a statement by its coordinator, Dr. Mojisola Araba, NPHD claimed that the petition to cancel Big Brother Naija had gathered 10,000 signatures.
According to the group, the “Petition has collected 10,000 signatures from concerned Nigerians to cancel the Reality TV Show ‘Big Brother Naija.’”
It added, “The on-going TV Reality show, Big Brother Nigeria is indeed a corruption of TV Reality shows.
“The Nigerian public is complaining about the moral perversity in the House of the Big Brother Nigeria.
“In one episode last two weeks or so, the inmates were shown openly kissing and caressing one another. This is a celebration of obscenity, eroticism and idleness.
“More importantly, it is a big mockery of Nigerian culture and tradition. Since the inmates are Nigerians, they should have been projecting the Nigerian cultural heritage. But instead of doing that, they are bastardizing it.
“When Endernol, the Dutch, first conceived the idea of BBA in 1997, open kissing and caressing by the inmates and celebration of obscenity were never considered by him.
“Even the TV Reality shows in other countries do not contain the obscenity we are watching in the on-going Big Brother Nigeria. There is a great danger in importing the destructive foreign lifestyle to Nigeria.
“Explicit sexual overtures which appeal to the prurient interest in sex, damages a country’s moral ecology in an analogous way in which oil pollutant damages a country’s ecology.
“The biggest tragedy of the on-going Big Brother Nigeria is that our children also glued to the TV screen watching it. Children are our future.
“Therefore we should protect them from lewd exposure, which might prevent their growth into free, independent and well-developed citizens.
“The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) must live up to its bidding as a body charged with controlling, monitoring, regulating the electronic media and monitoring of satellite transmission in Nigeria. Our TV stations cannot become dumping grounds for all sorts of immoral programs.
“NBC must stop the airing of Big Brother Nigeria now.”

I’M God, Jesus Is Not Coming Back – Pastor Tells Church

A 27-year-old controversial church founder in Zimbabwe, Given Dube, has caused outrage after he claimed that he is God and that Jesus is not coming back.
Dube, who claimed to be God, wants Africans not to believe that Jesus is coming again.
According to a newspaper, Zimbabwe News, Dube who is the founder of Umuzi ka Nkulunkulu (House of god) Church in Pumula South, had told his members to address him as God as the Holy Spirit had descended on him and declared him God.
The pastor is said to have been telling his members that he is the God who made the heaven and earth and has power over all creation.
He added that the belief that Jesus is coming back was just a fallacy used by religious scholars to hold people in perpetual fear.
In an interview with the newspaper, Dube who has a Holy Book which his members use for their daily guide emphasized his claims by saying he was God’s host on earth.
He said, “I am being used by a spirit which I cannot even see. I only saw it in a vision once when it first appeared to me in 2008 when I was in Chipinge for National Youth Service training.
“Since then, God’s spirit speaks to me and I hear his voice and that spirit uses me. For people to believe me, I write everything down and that is the holy book referred to as Uluju Lwezulu.
“I am God and do not need anyone to explain my words. I have written this book and it guides people in their daily lives.
“When Jesus came to earth, not all people listened to him and he was even killed. Now I have come, some have listened and I will guide them.
“They believe the lies they are being told that Jesus is coming back again. I can tell you that he is not coming back again as the religious leaders use that to instill fear in people.
“I am God and I plan. I just command and it happens. You also have to understand that I don’t expect everyone to see me as their God, but they first have to accept the word and understand, so only church members recognize me as their God.
“I command, I can stop diseases and wars in the world or even command them to happen. This is a different belief from Christians who are still waiting for the coming of Jesus; I am already here.”
Some pastors and Christian leaders in that country have petitioned the government to stop Dube from spreading falsehood, but nothing has been done yet.

Serious Drama As General Manager Flogs 4 Workers With A Cane In Bayelsa State (Photo)

A baffling incident has happened in Bayelsa state as a Radio General manager used a cane to flog some of his staff in public.
The General Manager, John Idumange flogged the staffers with cane
The industrial dispute at Radio Bayelsa, christened Glory FM took a twist on Thursday when the General Manager flogged four staffers on duty.
The Radio Bayelsa Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) and Radio Television and Theatre Arts Workers Unions (RATTAWU) consequently shut the radio station. Some reports had said the staffers were whipped by suspected thugs.
Mr Tonye Yemoleigha, NUJ Chairman in Radio Bayelsa told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Yenagoa that he and three female staff were caned by the General Manager of the Station, Mr John Idumange.
“Four of us, myself and three female staff were flogged by Idumange himself. The report that it was thugs is inaccurate. It was the General Manager himself. The blisters on the skin are more severe for the ladies.
“We have reported the matter to the Ekeki Police Division and sought medical attention at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa. Workers have been constantly intimidated and threatened for no just cause.
Mr Idumange declined to comment on the allegation that he caned the four members of staff.
Yemoleigha, NUJ Chairman said: “Mr John Angese, Bayelsa Council Chairman of NUJ who is a staff of Radio Bayelsa has also been threatened with a sack, we are all being victimised for insisting that the General Manager complies with Public Service rules.
“We have been under siege since the General Manager was appointed on December 6, 2016. We are not opposed to repositioning the station which is in our interest but we want the procedure to follow due process,” Yemoleigha said.
NAN reports that after the station went off air, the management mobilised armed security men and few employees who rebuffed the strike to reopen the station.
NAN also reports that the station continued to play music all through as the station’s scheduled programmes and news bulletin could not be aired.
Yemoleigha said that workers of the station are not opposed to staff redeployment.
“But the unions should also be part of the process to ensure that the best hands are not sacrificed on the altar of nepotism, sentiment or witchhunt.
“We are also aware of the alleged over N5 million naira payroll fraud which Idumange claimed to have uncovered and has referred to the Police for investigation.
“Ordinarily, in line with established procedures, an Investigative Panel should have been instituted to look into the matter and come up with a report with which management would act as appropriate.
“All these are expressly spelt out in the Public Service Rules; however, we are requesting for a copy of the police report after their investigation.
“We have asked management to properly discipline everyone involved in an established case of running the salary of a staff who resigned with effect from August 2016,” Yemoleigha said
Idumange dismissed the allegations levelled against him. He said that the unions were being used to sabotage his efforts at re-positioning the station which was in a deplorable state before his appointment.
He refused to speak on the allegations that he flogged staffers of the station.
He told NAN that there was no going back on his reform efforts as they have received the blessings of the supervising Bayelsa Ministry of Information.
“This small radio station has 346 workers; employment and job placement have never followed due process, we are currently reorganising the place and they are resisting our efforts.
“Those ghost workers must be fished out and the payroll cleaned up.
“The wage bill of the station is N35 million monthly and it is not sustainable. My predecessor incurred a debt of N40 million.
“The unions are being instigated by the Heads of Department affected in the illegal recruitment, and those who came into that place through the back door’’, he said.

We Give MTN, DSTV And Others 2 Days To Leave Nigeria Or Face Trouble – Nigerian Students Issue Ultimatum Over Xenophobic Attacks

The National Association of Nigerian Students has given all South African companies in Nigeria 48 hours to relocate over the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
The students gave the ultimatum at a demonstration at some South African companies in Abuja on Thursday.
During the protest the students carried placards and a banner, which read, “NANS Against Xenophobic Attacks on Nigerians.’’
The President of NANS, Mr. Kadiri Aruna, said in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria at the office of DSTV, a South African company, in Wuse 2, Abuja, that Nigerian students had resolved to condemn the attacks.
“We are saying that enough is enough as South Africans have openly attacked and bullied Nigerians.’’
Aruna said that the protest would also serve as a warning to other countries trying to underrate Nigerians.
He said that after 48 hours, if nothing was done, messages would be sent to students in all university campuses to bring down MTN masts all over the country.
Aruna said that DSTV and Shoprite would also be affected as the union had put adequate strategies in place to make the action effective.
“All the South African business empires in Nigeria and their collaborators in Nigeria will be affected,” he said.
“I don’t want to say we will be barbaric but we will not be lawful in our actions, we will do it and face the consequences, enough of this rubbish.”
Aruna stressed that the poor treatment being meted out to Nigerians was particularly insulting given the role Nigeria played in ending the apartheid regime in South Africa.
“Nigeria contributed 80 per cent of the freedom the South Africans are enjoying today because we saved them from the jaws of apartheid.
“Who is South Africa to humiliate Nigeria? So they forget things so soon, let them go back to history and records to see how much financial assistance and what the country did to save them,’’ he said.
The union president said that the situation was inhuman and for this reason all reasonable Nigerians must react.
“In science they say you use malaria to cure malaria, now you use madness to cure their madness, and that is why we are advising them to leave Nigerian soil before 48 hours.’’
The NANS president called on the Federal Government not to wait until the dying minutes before evacuating Nigerians from South Africa.
“Government should take extra-diplomatic measures in dealing with the latest deadly assaults because if nothing drastic is done it will become a regular occurrence,” he said.
He said the current attacks occurred because the last time xenophobic attacks happened nothing was done, no action was taken and no arrest was made.

No Nigerian Died In South African Xenophobic Attacks – Nigerian Govt

The Federal Government has said no Nigerian died during the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
This was revealed after a meeting between the Minister of State Foreign Affairs, Khadija Abba-Ibrahim, in Abuja and the High Commissioner of South Africa to Nigeria, Lulu Aaron-Mnguni, on the issue.
Nigerian buildings, properties and places of worship worth millions of dollars were destroyed by South Africans on February 5 and 18. After which the Ministry on Monday, February 20, summoned the South Africa High Commissioner over the matter.
The minister said no Nigerian lost their lives in the attacks contrary to reports in some media.
According to her, the reports that mentioned the killing of Nigerians in the xenophobic attacks are unsubstantiated.
“The ministry has not received the report of any death of Nigerian in the latest incidents of attacks against foreigners.
“The Nigerian High Commission in Pretoria is in constant touch with the Nigerian Union in South Africa, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) of South Africa, as well as the South African police.
“All these agencies have confirmed that no Nigerian life was lost in the recent incident,” she said.
The minister said the government was in touch with South African authorities to ensure the safety of Nigerians there. She therefore appealed to the media not to fuel the crisis further with unconfirmed reports.
Responding, the South Africa High Commissioner to Nigeria said his government was on top of the situation.
Mr. Aaron-Mnguni said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South African will hold a briefing with the diplomatic community in his country on Friday to fashion out more ways to solve the problem.
