Femi Adebayo Salami: My 1st Marriage Crashed Because My Ex-Wife Didn’t Like My Career

femi adebayo marriage crashed
The Nollywood actor who married a new wife late last year exactly 7 years after he parted ways with his first wife has spoken up on what led to the crash of his first marriage.
The Jelili star who spoke happily about his new wife, Omotayo Sanusi said his first wife, Khadijat crashed his first marriage because she was not comfortable with his acting career.
While regretting the crash of his first marriage which produced three children, the actor praised his new wife for being so supportive.
His recent chat with Sunday Scoop:
I don’t like talking about my marriage because I have the right to my privacy. Even though I am a celebrity, and lots of people always want to know what’s going on with me, my fans understand why I have decided to shield my wife from public glare.
But I can tell you that I am really enjoying my marriage and it is pure bliss. I was without a wife for seven years and you know what that means for a man, but now, I am happy that I made the right decision.
“When it comes to marriage, it is important to be with someone who understands you and accepts you totally.
My first wife was uncomfortable with my profession as an actor, but that is what I love doing. Acting gives me joy and I will continue doing it as long as I can.
I cannot imagine myself doing anything else without being miserable. I studied Law but I am not practicing it and that should tell you that I am following my passion.”

Buhari Deserves Rest And Should Be Allowed – Gov. Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said politicians should allow President Muhammadu Buhari to enjoy his rest and stop disturbing him with needless visits.
The governor spoke on a live programme tagged, ‘Meet Your Governor’ aired on the state-owned Ekiti Television and Radio Stations on Saturday.
Fayose, while praying for sound health for the president, said his desire for a better Nigeria accounted for why he had been criticising the Federal Government when things were not done the right way.
‎He explained that he had stopped criticising the president since he travelled abroad for medical attention because anyone could fall sick and the president should be allowed to enjoy his rest.
“I don’t have any problem with the president; the only problem I have is with his handlers. They will say something today and say another tomorrow. Anybody can fall sick.
“I have not been criticising the president because he is sick. When he comes back and he is not doing the right thing, we will continue to criticise him,” he said.
Describing the visits by some All Progressives Congress chieftains to the president as a make-belief and too much of eye service, Fayose said it would not have been necessary if the people knew the truth from the onset.
“It is God that gives power to whoever He wills. As humans, we can fall sick. But people should allow him to rest.
“Some people are visiting him to convince people that he is well; that is a make-belief and too much of eye-service.”

You Won’t Have Much To Inherit From Me, President Buhari Tells Family

President Muhammadu Buhari has told his children the only legacy he would be leaving for them is the acquisition of education
The president told his children to be self-reliant, noting that he would leave behind very little for them to inherit.
He said this in his biography written by American Professor, John Paden, titled “Muhammadu Buhari: The Challenges of Leadership in Nigeria.
“Buhari insisted that all of his girls continue their education through the tertiary level.”
According to the book: “This they did, although one continued in higher education after she was married. He told them explicitly that education would give them self-reliance, and that he would not have much in the way of an inheritance to leave to his family.
“Today, Buhari’s entire family are not only well educated but also speak English, and are comfortable within the broader Nigerian and international context.”
However, it is difficult to know the president’s worth thereby making it impossible to estimate what inheritance he might bequeath to his family since the president is yet to make full details of his assets public.
On September 3, 2015, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity provided snippets of information regarding his declared assets.
According to a press statement by Garba Shehu, President Buhari had N30 million in his bank account before taking office on May 29.
Going further, he said the president owns five houses in Kaduna, Daura, Kano and Abuja, and has two undeveloped plots of land, one in Kano and the other in Port Harcourt.
He also has farms, an orchard, ranch, livestock, including 270 cattle, 25 sheep, five horses, a variety of birds and a number of economic trees, according to the statement.
He has an unstated “number of cars.”
President Buhari has one bank account (with the Union Bank), no foreign account, no factory, no enterprises, and no oil wells, the statement said.
It said the president has shares in Berger Paints, Union Bank and Skye Bank.
Two of his houses in his native Daura are mud-made, the statement said.
“He borrowed money from the old Barclays Bank to build two of his homes,” the statement said.
“The documents also showed that the retired General uses a number of cars, two of which he bought from his savings and the others supplied to him by the federal government in his capacity as former Head of State. The rest were donated to him by well-wishers after his jeep was damaged in a Boko Haram bomb attack on his convoy in July 2014.”
Premium Times reports that it remains unclear whether the president plans to dispose of some of these assets or pass them all to his family.

Oyo Workers Threaten Showdown Over Unpaid Salary (Read)

Some workers in the employment of Oyo State have said they can no longer guarantee the industrial peace with the state Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters with the way it treats workers and pensioners under it.
The workers under the umbrella of various unions including Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) and Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) while addressing a press conference in Ibadan on Monday expressed concern over what they termed the poor condition of their members in the state.
The unions in a statement jointly signed by NULGE President Com. Titilola Bayo Sodo; NUT Chairman Com. Akano Samuel Oluniyi as well as NUP Chairman Pa. Gbadegesin Akande, accused the supervisory ministry of witholding the allocations for a minimum of two to three months before releasing them to pay workers’ salaries and pensions.
“While the Oyo State Government disburses its monthly allocations promptly to pay workers and pensioners, the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters hiding under a punitive and self-serving of Joint Account Allocation Committee, JAAC to hold allocations for upwards of two to three months before releasing them to pay workers’ salaries and pensions.
“While the allocations are kept in the banks for unknown reasons, workers and pensioners wallow in undeserved poverty.”
“Right now, while Oyo State Government had paid its workers and pensioners two months salaries and pensions from Paris Club fund and a month allocation, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters is yet to release fund to pay local government workers and pensioners, serving Primary School Teachers and retired Primary School Teachers.”
The workers further accused the Ministry of claiming that the addition of State Internally Generated Revenue, IGR which was not forthcoming from the State Government was stalling the payment of the arrears, while noting that if N2 billion needed to be released to pay the arrears and N1.8billion is available, the Ministry should go ahead to use the available fund to pay the arrears until the remaining N200million is accessed.
“From now on, we demand that payment of salaries and pensions of Local government workers/pensioners, serving primary school teachers and retired primary school teachers be made on the first line charge and in full.
“That the subsisting memorandum of understanding entered into by the joint labour centres with the state government in June, 2015 that 100 percent of allocations be dedicated to the payment of salaries and pensions be implemented henceforth by the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
“That, henceforth, allocations should not be held again in banks for upward of two to three months before salaries and pensions are paid. Workers and pensioners should be paid immediately federal allocation is paid.
“That every month, all workers and pensioners who draw their salaries/pensions from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters be paid regularly and promptly.”

It’s Sad But Buhari Will Die In Office – Prophet Emmanuel

Prophet Emmanuel Chukwudi of King of Kings Deliverance Church, Mgbo Court in Ohaukwu area of Ebonyi state, has made startling revelations concerning the future of governance in the United States, Nigeria and Ghana.
Prophet Emmanuel told reporters that the former president of the US, Barack Obama, will join forces with certain elements in a fierce battle to oust President Donald Trump, “if urgent steps are not taken, I see his presidency shaking.
“They have vowed to make his government uncomfortable. Obama and other enemies of Trump are the ones behind it, and they are planning to remove him.”
In 2011, Chukwudi had told people close to Buhari that he would lose to Jonathan, but had also in 2014, prophesied that Buhari would win the 2015 polls.
He had equally in March 2015 prophesied victory for Trump, a prophecy he sustained until the elections proved him right.
The fiery prophet, whose kinsmen gave the title of ‘Prophet Onye Ruo Uka Ofu N’anya’ (meaning; doubters will see and believe), reacted to questions about the health of President Muhammadu Buhari, who has been away for one month now.
He said that although he hoped that the president is really hale and hearty as the presidency had said he is, the Lord has told him several times very categorically that Buhari will not complete his first term as president of Nigeria. “Osinbajo will rule in his stead,” he added.
He also said: “Buhari will die in office, if he does not die, then I am not God, says the Lord. I told them a long time ago to pray for their master, that he needed urgent prayers to avert the calamity of death at Aso Rock, but they were lazy. No one has bothered to reach me, now see what is happening. They don’t want to come for prayers. Things will get worse.
“I said he will be president, today he has become president, I said he will die, see what is happening. Nobody wants to come and see the man of God, no one cares. You think it’s like something you can wish away. You cannot wish it away.
“You people around the president, you are sleeping. You won’t do anything to pray for him. Let me tell you, until you come before the man of God, and kneel down and pray for the president, you are also heaping curses upon yourself.
“You think the calamity will visit only him? It will visit those who also heard and refused to do anything to save the president. While it’s still early, seek the face of God for the sake of Nigeria for the sake of President Buhari, and save the situation…”

Barcelona NOT Planning To Sack Manager Luis Enrique Despite Poor Form (See Report)

Barcelona have “no plan B” to Luis Enrique, whose future as manager will be decided in April, the Spanish champions’ president says.
Enrique’s contract expires at the end of this season, and some fans booed him during Sunday’s 2-1 win over Leganes.
“The priority is still for Luis Enrique to continue,” Josep Maria Bartomeu told Catalan broadcaster TV3.
“In the last few years, he has won almost all competitions. The Barca supporters are very happy with him.”
Former Barca and Spain midfielder Enrique, 46, was appointed in 2014. He won the Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey in his first season in charge, adding a domestic double last term.
But this season has been more difficult. On Tuesday, Barca were beaten 4-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Paris St-Germain.
Sunday’s win over Leganes, secured with a 90th-minute Lionel Messi penalty, ensures they remain a point behind La Liga leaders Real Madrid.
“We will speak to Luis in April to see how he feels. There is no plan B,” Bartomeu added.
“He is doing an extraordinary job and now we enter the most important stage of the season.”
Madrid, who have not won the league since 2012, beat Espanyol 2-0 on Saturday. They have two games in hand on Barca – the first of which comes on Wednesday at 17:45 GMT, away to Valencia.
Barca, who have already set up a Spanish Cup final with Alaves, play the return leg of their tie with PSG at Camp Nou on 8 March.

FA Cup: Manchester United Will Revenge Against Chelsea – Marcus Rashford

Manchester United starlet, Marcus Rashford, says he hopes to avenge his club’s Stamford Bridge humiliation when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
United boss, Jose Mourinho’s returned to his former club in October and left humiliated after a 4-0 defeat.
The Red Devils now have a chance to revenge in the FA Cup after Sunday’s quarter final draw pitted them against Antonio Conte’s Premier League leaders.
Rashford told MUTV, “At this stage of the competition you’re going to be facing a good team no matter where you go.
“I think we’ve just got to take it game by game. We’re on a good run of form and so are they, so I think it’ll be a good game.
“But we’ll go there confident and to win the game.”
The young Englishman scored the opening goal in United’s FA Cup win against Blackburn on Sunday.
Asked if United owed Chelsea one for October, Rashford added, “Yeah, definitely. They’ve got one over us.”

Female Artistes Are Not Respected In The Industry – Yemi Alade

Singer, Yemi Alade, in a new interview, has revealed what her staying power in the music industry is.
The ‘Nakupenda’ crooner, who recently sat down for an interview The Sun newspaper, also talked about her album, and a few other issues.
Read excerpts:-
Last year was a fulfilling one for you as you got endorsed by many brands. Is the pressure getting to you?
No it isn’t. It is better to have so much to do than to be idle. And you know, one can’t get endorsed by similar brands at the same time. If after one or two years your contract expires, then, perhaps, a much more competitive brand would want to take over.
What project are you doing at the moment?
Well, I am still pushing my last album, Mama Africa. And I have dropped like four videos off the album. They include Mama Africa, Koffi, Nagode and Ferrari. And besides, I am working on more videos which would be released very soon.
Your last album was quite Afro-centric, what prompted that decision?
That was the focus. After all, the title is Mama Africa; it definitely had to be Afro-centric.
The music industry is dominated by male artistes, does that put pressure on you?
The pressure is there because I have to keep up with what my male counterparts are doing. It is also tough and challenging because in Africa, women are always looked down upon so there are a lot of physical and psychological issues that we tackle as African female artistes whether you are A-List or Z-list. Well, I have chosen to be on God’s list.
What is Yemi Alade’s staying power?
It is definitely God all the way day in day out. And also the team that doesn’t sleep. Shout out to Effizzy Music Group and of course, there is the passion because money can’t buy passion.

How I Escaped Being Murdered By A Fellow Rapper – Yung6ix

Rapper Yung6ix, has opened up on how he was almost murdered by a fellow rapper in his home.
Speaking with Saturday Beats, the rapper, said he is yet to understand why his friend decided on murdering him.
“I don’t know why my friend would want to kill me but that was one of the most shocking moments of my life. It happened at the studio in my house; I just came downstairs and the next thing I saw was my friend with a gun. I called him but he did not reply. Then I saw the look on his face. He came with some other people. The guy by his side just took the gun from my friend’s hand because he noticed that my friend was already having a change of heart and he did not want to shoot me. When the guy took the gun, he tried to shoot me but I was lucky the gun jammed, so everybody ran away.
“To be honest, I don’t know what could have made him want to kill me. The only issue I think we had was not enough to cause any issue. I was shooting the video of one of my songs in Abuja the same day he was shooting the video of one of his songs that he featured me. I told him that I couldn’t be there for his video because I was working on my own video. I told him that once I returned to Lagos, I would make sure I shoot my part of his video and I would take care of the cost. It was when I got back that he came to my house with a gun.”
He continued:
“They moved him out of our estate because he lived near my house. The police later told us that estate residents had been complaining about him and that they did not want someone who walked around with a gun living in their estate. That was how he was evicted from the estate and I felt bad about it.”
“All that is behind me now and I am thinking of my new projects. I have my record label and a sponsor because immediately I left Storm Records, I decided to be on my own without relying on anyone. Along the line, somebody came to support me financially in the person of Prince Mefe. I decided not to be like other conventional artistes who would rather be very established before signing new acts. Every step I take, I want someone to grow with me the way Olamide also brought some guys up as he was becoming big as a star. Already, I have four artistes signed to my record label, KKTBM, and they are LK Kuddy, S.H.E, Percy, and Sean Dennis.”
