August Alsina learns his mic was deliberately turned off during his AMA performance

During the AMA 2016 performance with DJ Khaled on Sunday, singer, August Alsina's mic was not turned on to the TV Live feed. Social media users made fun of him for lip-syncing, so he took to his IG page to explain the situation. He ranted at AMA and moved on from it adding that he was thankful for the opportunity to perform at the AMA for the first time. However, he received a shocking message from one of the AMA organizers who told him that his mic was deliberately turned off. This made him go off on a long rant. Read the messages after the cut...

Woke up to this message.. This Has bothered my spirit for the longest time , I'm more confused than yesterday.
Is it because I'm new and that was my first introduction to the AMA world? Is it because I'm black and you don't know what to expect ? Is it because of my past that you may be trying to bind me to ? Or
Is this pure hate and just to rob me of a moment? To make people think I'm lip syncing as if I'm not even a person who tries! Someone whose not serious about his craft. I'm from the bottom where if we don't do anything else, we TRY! And last night I not only tried but DID & conquered & it's as if it never happened.
Someone help me understand.. Im sorry for rambling but I'm just confused.
I went into this with the most reverence for your establishment and platform only to be failed in return.
You may have muted my mic to TV but you can't mute reality and the infection of that crowd rock.
The response from people in that building afterward.
A really sweet older & very graceful white woman had an interaction after the performance on my way to the restroom & she said "wow, you were just magical up there, how do I not know you." She then went on to apologize to me & said I'm sorry (which I was confused about) so I asked why for clarity. She said "with what I just saw and felt you should be lots of awards at this place". I kindly smiled and said Thankyou with the most gratitude & honor
& formally introduced myself to her and went to shake her hand. She ended with "ohhhh trust me, I know who you are now.. You're unforgettable"! So I am just completely and utterly confused.
Once again though, I will say Thankyou for the opportunity AMA's.
Through it all, Allah keeps on blessing me.
#DoUMind is the number one record in the country

Presidency hints Pres. Buhari may run for a second term in 2019

Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba, this evening hinted that President Buhari may run for a second term in 2019.
In a statement released Monday, Shehu said President Buhari Nigerians will not desert him come 2019. Garba said this in reaction to a statement made by Buba Galadima, a member of the defunct CPC, a party where President Buhari was a member. ‎Galadima had over the weekend said Nigerians would desert President Buhari during the 2019 election. Read Garba's response to Galadima after the cut...
A Presidential spokeperson, Mal. Garba Shehu has dismissed suggestions that the masses will desert President Buhari in 2019 as unfounded and utterly ridiculous, and asserted that ordinary Nigerians are the backbone of his mandate and the only reason he ran for the office is to protect them against the rapacious merchants of corruption, who have held Nigeria back for decades. Reacting to allegations by a former CPC member, Alhaji Buba Galadima that President Buhari would be abandoned by the people in 2019, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said Galadima's calculation and prediction is utterly confused and misleading.

He said the masses are solidly behind Buhari because he is not stealing their money and their future, that the President's enormous goodwill remains ever strong because the people are convinced the President is acting in their best interest, despite the temporary unintended consequences of reforms.

President Muhammadu Buhari is far from isolation. He enjoys a very strategic relationship with ordinary Nigerians. This relationship is as solid a the proverbial rock. If Buba Galadima thinks that because he has no role and no job in this government that means president is isolated he is putting himself up to ridicule.

According to him, Galadima cannot speak for the masses as far as their steadfast loyalty to Buhari is concerned. While acknowledging that Galadima was entitled to advance his own political agenda, Malam Garba said Galadima didn't have the right to decide for ordinary voters.

Malam Garba Shehu recalled that Buba Galadima's disagreement with President Buhari was based on principle. He explained that President Buhari is committed to level playing field and would not want anyone to link his name to injustice.

The Presidential media aide said Galadima's disagreement with Buhari started in 2011 when a group within the party, orchestrated an organizational mess by which the CPC embarked on the imposition and substitution of candidates for cash payments at the expense of those duly and democratically elected.

He said Muhammadu Buhari was embarrassed by the incidents and complaints about the imposition and substitution of candidates, adding that he, as a democrat, would not suppress the will of the people to please selfish interests. Consequently he dispensed with the service, such as they are, of Buba Galadima; ran and won the 2015 Elections without them. Let Buba Galadima go to his constituency, stand for election and see what will happen to him, concluded Mal. Garba Shehu.
